That's why we've launched Closing With a Cause, a year-round initiative where a portion of the proceeds from every transaction—when facilitated by one of our participating agents—will be donated to a local charity of your choosing.
As part of this program, every home buyer and seller working with a participating agent will have the opportunity to choose one of five incredible charities to receive a donation in their name!

Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island Chapter
The Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island Chapter supports nearly 24,000 individuals in Rhode Island living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, as well as 54,000 caregivers. Funds donated through Slocum Cares go directly to their signature fundraising initiative, The Longest Day, which supports local care programs, educational opportunities, advocacy efforts, and research initiatives aimed at prevention, treatment, and finding a cure. The Hotel for Homeless Dogs is committed to rescuing and caring for dogs in need, including those pulled from kill shelters in the South. Donations from Slocum Cares help provide essential care, such as warm baths, tasty treats, and other comforts that ensure the dogs receive the love and attention they deserve. Mentor Rhode Island
Mentor Rhode Island supports quality mentoring programs throughout the state, fostering meaningful connections between youth and adult mentors to improve mental health and overall well-being. Donations through Slocum Cares will directly support school-based mentoring programs located in Woonsocket and Warwick. These funds will provide games and craft supplies for weekly mentoring sessions, food for mentee parties, and contributions to the Sunshine Fund, which is used exclusively to support struggling families within the program. Habitat for Humanity, West Bay and Northern Rhode Island
Since obtaining official status in 1995, Habitat for Humanity West Bay and Northern Rhode Island has provided homes for 17 families through volunteer efforts and community support. Serving communities across West Bay and Northern RI, the organization builds and rehabilitates simple, affordable homes for families in need. Homes are sold to partner families with no profit and financed through affordable, no-interest loans. Donations through Slocum Cares help provide critical funding and materials, creating new opportunities for local families to achieve safe, stable housing. Learn more

The Warwick Center for the Arts (WCFA) is dedicated to uniting the community through the power of art. By offering exhibits, educational programs, and cultural experiences, WCFA connects people of all ages and abilities to accessible and affordable artistic opportunities. The center serves as an inspiring space for both emerging and established artists to share their creative vision and foster community engagement.
